The Gridiron Foundation is excited to announce a substantial expansion of our Defensive Back Development Program by adding former NFL CB and now Lawrence North DB Coach Robert Williams as the our lead DB Coach. Coach Robert and our Certified DB Coaching staff are excited to be begin providing Indiana student athletes the knowledge they need to be successful DBs vs the run or pass!

Our Fundamentals and Techniques are time tested and proven. Coach Robert and Staff are going to teach you the “How’s and Why’s” of Defensive Back play. How to not only be great at Man-Man

Defender but how to gain an understanding of Pattern reads and proper fits. You will learn the Gridiron Foundation Defensive Back “A4” Philosophy … Align, Assign, Assess, Attack and will learn the following:

  • The importance of Reacting to the offenses
  • Pattern Read Concepts
  • How to Apply the A4 to all Offensive Formations and Fitting on Offensive Plays
  • Fundamentals of Man-Man
  • Proper fit on Specific run Plays
  • Importance of Fitting Inside out
  • Recognizing Fast Flow and Slow Flow Plays
  • Twins and Trips
  • Playing Cloud Support
  • Hard Corner and Soft Corner Mentality

  • Sprint 1 January 12 – Feb 5
  • Sprint 2 February 19 - March 19
  • Sunday and Wednesday evenings are Group Throwing Sessions
    Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings are Small Group Semi-Private Sessions

Winter Training Sprints 3 and 4

  • Sprint 3 April 9 - May 4
  • Sprint 4 May 5 - May 22
  • Sprint 3 is Wednesdays and Sundays includes SOS Camp Events
    Sprint 4 Specialty Training and College Prep Camps TBD

  • Sprint 5 June 2 - June 26
